Learn about the Karmi Wellness DPC membership model in a free 15 min meeting with NP Tay.
Taylor Kemp, DNP, FNP-C, is the founder and provider behind Karmi Wellness. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
Taylor's path into healthcare started with being a self-proclaimed "science nerd" who simply enjoys helping people, that curiosity still drives her approach to care today. She enjoys learning about new conditions, exploring testing options, and going down the occasional rabbit hole to fully understand the details that matter for her patients.
She has a special interest in PCOS, women's health, medical weight loss, and aesthetics, and built Karmi so she could bring that focus to as many patients as possible, on her own terms.
Her approach: "I believe in a shared decision-making process in patient care, where the best care plans are those the patient feels good about and can successfully follow. What sets me apart is my commitment to truly listening to my patients and considering their desires when forming their care plans. Many of my patients appreciate that they feel heard and valued in their healthcare journey."
Outside of work, Taylor finds solace in gardening, a peaceful retreat from the demands of healthcare, and maybe the reason Karmi's tiers grow from Sow to Nourish to Flourish.
Karmi was built for people who've felt unseen in a doctor's office, rushed through a 10-minute visit, talked over, or left without real answers. We started with a simple belief: healthcare should feel like it was actually built for you.
Karmi is a membership-based practice, not an insurance-based one. That means no claims, no denials, no surprise bills, just a provider who's actually in your corner. You choose a monthly rate that fits your life on a sliding scale, and every member gets the exact same access: unlimited visits, direct messaging between appointments, and care that doesn't stop when the visit ends.
Karmi was built especially for millennial Black women and LGBTQ+ folks looking for a provider who gets it, but every membership tier and every service is open to anyone looking for real, unhurried primary care.
Karmi's commitment to community goes past the exam room, through programs like our period pantry and baby bodega, because access to care means more than just booking a visit.
Karmi Wellness is dedicated to fostering individuals' well-being across life's stages. We integrate expertise and holistic, personalized care to enhance overall health, promoting accessible and community-Karmi Wellness exists to give people the care they deserve but too often don't get.
