Learn about the Karmi Wellness DPC membership model in a free 15 min meeting with NP Tay.
It's healthcare without the middleman. Instead of billing insurance for every visit, lab, or phone call, you pay Karmi Wellness a simple monthly membership, and in return, you get real access to your provider: same-day or next-day appointments, visits that actually run long enough to matter, and a text thread instead of a phone tree. No insurance company is sitting between you and your care, which means no one's telling us how many minutes we're allowed to spend with you or which questions are "billable."
Because insurance covers sick care, it was never built for the kind of care that keeps you well in the first place. Even great insurance doesn't buy you same-day access, a 60-minute visit, or a provider who actually remembers your whole story. Karmi Wellness runs alongside your insurance, not instead of it. Keep your insurance for the big stuff (specialists, hospitalizations, imaging, prescriptions) and use your Karmi membership for everything else, the stuff that used to mean a three-week wait for a ten-minute visit.
No, Karmi Wellness is not insurance, and we don't bill insurance for anything. We'd still recommend keeping a health insurance plan (even a high-deductible or catastrophic one) to cover things outside our scope, hospitalizations, specialist care, imaging, and prescriptions. If you have insurance and it's useful for something like a lab or a specialist visit, use it. We just don't file the claims ourselves.
Because you get to choose the tier that fits your life right now, no income verification, no forms, no judgment. All three tiers give you the exact same access to care; the only difference is what you're comfortable contributing. Take our two-minute quiz and pick what feels right. If your circumstances change later, so can your tier.
Nope, there's no such thing as a co-pay here, since we're not billing insurance in the first place. Your membership covers your visits; there's no separate charge waiting for you at check-out.
Yes, if you'd rather pay as you go, visits are available à la carte:
30 minutes: $104
60 minutes: $179
Membership is still the better deal if you're planning to see us more than once or twice, since it unlocks unlimited visits, between-visit text access, and discounted pricing across the board. But if you just want to try us out first, a non-member visit (or our 1:1 meet-and-greet) is a great low-pressure way to do that.
Yep! Aesthetics is à la carte, so you're welcome to book those services on their own, no membership required. Members do get a discount on aesthetics treatments, so if you think you'll be a repeat visitor, it's worth doing the math on whether a membership tier saves you more in the long run.
Three options, same access for all of them:
Sow — $45/month
Nourish — $75/month
Flourish — $110/month
You'll take a short quiz to help you land on the tier that fits your budget and life right now, there's no "better" tier, just different levels of investment in the practice.
Yes! Add household members for $30/month each, capped at $300/month total for the whole family, which also makes it easier to use HSA funds toward your membership.
Yep. Prepay quarterly and save 10%, or prepay annually and save 15%.
In many cases, yes. Check with your plan administrator, since rules vary by employer and plan type. Our family add-on structure was actually designed with HSA eligibility in mind.
Life happens, and we'd rather talk it through with you than hide behind a rigid policy. Reach out and we'll figure out what makes sense for your situation.
More than you'd think. We're a full primary care practice, and we also go deep on:
Primary & preventive care, the everyday stuff, done unhurried
Women's & hormonal health
Weight management
Birth & postpartum support
Mental & emotional wellness
Medical aesthetics
If you're not sure whether something falls under our roof, just ask. Chances are, it does.
Text or the patient portal are your go-to's, quick, easy, and how we prefer to stay in touch. A phone call works too, if that's more your speed. You can expect a response the same day, or the next business day at the latest.
Long enough to actually get through what you came in for. No seven-minute sprint, no feeling rushed out the door before you've asked your second question.
Call 911 or head to the nearest emergency room, that's always the right call for anything life-threatening. We're here for everything else: the stuff that usually means an awkward wait for urgent care or a rushed visit that leaves you with more questions than answers. You can also let us know that you had an emergency and went to/are admitted in the hospital.
We're not able to see Medicare-eligible patients at this time. Medicaid is a different story, if you have Medicaid, you're welcome to join as a member (your Karmi membership fee just isn't billed through it).
We help you get affordable access to labs and imaging outside the usual insurance markup, and we'll always be upfront about cost before you commit to anything. If a specialist referral is needed, we'll help coordinate that too.
Annual physical labs are included in your membership.
No, Karmi Wellness doesn't bill insurance for membership services. If you'd like to use your insurance for something outside our scope (like a specialist visit or imaging), that's completely fine.
Take our quick membership quiz to find your tier, then you're in, no long intake process standing between you and actually getting care.
Of course. We offer a 1:1 meet-and-greet so you can get a feel for the practice before you join anything.
That's what we're here for, reach out and ask us anything. Seriously, anything.
